An estimated 80% of all activites and decisions in administration and the economy are made with geographic data.  The combination of Postgresql-PostGIS and Quantum GIS offer an easy to use and powerful Open Source combination, enabling proffesional GIS tasks, geodata management under several operating systems such as MacOS, MS-Windows and Linux.

Contents:

• QGIS installation and plugins
• Interoperable data viewer of vector, raster and geo-webservices
• Cartography with QGIS and project management
• Editing vectors, attributes and geometry with QGIS
• Using QGIS plugins:
  • OGR layer converter
  • Georeferencing
  • GPS data import to QGIS/Postgresql-PostGIS
  • simple analysis with fTools

Previous experience: Basic desktop GIS

Audience: Decision makers, technicians, analysts from government, business, municipalities, engineering firms and any other GIS areas.

Cost: The price per training is dependend upon the number of days booked per person. The price for one training day is 1200.00 Euro, for two days 2.000,00 Euro and for three days 3.000,00 Euro.  The categories are for both single or multiple day classes wether or not they are booked simultaneously.  These prices do not include tax.

Duration: 1 Day from 9:00 to aprx. 16:00
